Uylett-French is extremely physical for his age at 6-foot-2, 220-pounds and it shows up at the plate with a peak exit velocity of 94.6 mp. Ullett-French showed some feel for the barrel, but his power did not show up in game, although there is power potential promise at the plate. Defensively, he moves well for his large stature and has soft hands and an arm that works across the diamond. A must follow in Alberta’s 2027 class.
4/27/23
The physical 6-foot-2,220-pound 2027 had one of the better overall days at the event. It started on the mound where he got up to 78 mph with the fastball while pounding the zone with all 3 of his offerings. His curveball has some late bite that will become more effective as he works on locating it down. At the dish, Ulyett-French was just as impressive. He was able to get the ball in the air with authority, producing the highest exit velocity on the day of 90 mph, despite being one the younger players. He’ll be an intriguing follow this coming season to see what he’s able to do in game action.
