1B Cole Berry (2021) has to be regarded as one of the top uncommitted hitters left in the ‘21 Alabama class. Standing a physical 6-2, 205 pounds from the left side of the box, Berry has a solid track record of performing well at the plate during gameplay in the high school and summer seasons. Hitting in the 2-hole last night for the Rams, the left-handed hitter led his team by driving in four runs on the night. One at-bat that stood out came in the 6th inning. With runners on 2nd & 3rd, Berry handled a pitch low & away professionally. Instead of trying to pull it, he went with it and guided it to left field for a two run single. Generates solid torque with a strong lower and couples that with efficient bat speed. Should be finding a college program very soon.

Solid ‘21 1B/LHP that has shown a ton of improvement and added strength since we last saw him a year ago. Showed a tall set up at the plate with a small leg kick approach that resulted in juice to all fields. The swing is short and compact with some tilt in the swing path. Really like the explosiveness in the hands and the ability to keep the barrel in the hitting zone. Solid actions at 1B and everything seemed natural to him as he played low to the ground on ground balls and showed nice lateral movement. On the mound he was very consistent throughout his pen as the FB sat 81 mph and had nice arm side action with late sink. The 12/6 breaking ball was also commanded down in the zone in the low 70’s creating a definite 2 plane pitch. Pounded the bottom half of the zone with everything during his pen. Solid, repeatable mechanics.
10.28.18 Typical LHP action on the mound with very clean mechanics and was down in the zone during his inning of work. The 2021 grad showed a FB that really took off to his arm side in the upper 70’s and topping at 79. His breaking ball was an upper 60’s pitch (67-69) that showed good shape and some tight spin. The breaking ball really created down action and was a 2 plane pitch.
A 2021 with solid actions all over the field. Very solid glove and feet on the infield with some feel with the glove. The arm strength is good (78 mph IF velo) and will only get better as he continues to fill out physically. He had an open stance with a small leg kick that allowed him to generate some pop from his high, slow load. Really kept the barrel through the zone with his tilted swing path. Really worked some AB’s during the game and showed a nice 2 strike approach.
