Had 2 hits in game play, including a laser 3B. During BP, he showed a loud barrel with some pull side juice from a slightly tilted bat path. Put up some impressive numbers, throwing 81 mph across the infield and was 87 mph exit velocity off of a tee. Started with a slightly open stance and did a nice job getting his front foot down to trigger the swing. The approach was short and compact with some juice to the middle of the field from a slightly tilted swing path. Very good runner as well. Showed nice range in the IF and was very solid with the glove actions.

Speed (6.79 60 yard dash) is a big part of his game and the natural athleticism is there. The stance is open to begin with and the hands and barrel stay short and the back elbow stays slotted to contacted. Showed plus bat speed with some tilt and consistently produced pull side line drives during BP. Had 2 hits and a stolen base during game play. Smooth actions at SS with a quick arm and looked good gathering himself after the ball was in the glove. Showed nice lateral movement, can also play the outfield.
1.20.19- showed a solid approach to the game in everything he did. In the OF he showed nice feel for the position and showed some arm strength. On the IF his actions are legit and the glove showed some flash. Can play either MIF position. Big time runner as well. At the plate, his set up was solid with a very slightly open narrow stance. Is athletic and quick enough with the hands to get to pitches on the inner half and has a nice synched up swing. An athletic 2020 that brings a lot of intangibles to the game.
Harrison Stout (2020, 2B/SS, Tuscaloosa County) 5’11 155 lbs- 7.10.18- had an impressive day as he was at the top of just about all of the statistical categories. Ran the 60 in 7.07 and threw 76 mph across the diamond during IF workouts to go along with advanced footwork moving through the ball and smooth glovework. Really impressive during defensive work! His exit velo was 83 mph off of a tee and during BP his approach was completely gap to gap and showed impressive juice from a balanced swing and tilted swing plane.
