(Thompson AL, 2025) the Alabama recruit was another Thompson Warrior who had a strong day on both sides of the ball in their doubleheader action on Tuesday. Starting on the mound, the Alabama recruit made a relief appearance in game one. The polished look to the mechanics and how the body moves really stands out, effortless upper-80’s and low-90’s fastball from the right hander. In the fifth inning, Holden would punch out the side on 16 pitches, 12 which he landed for strikes. The heater sat at 87-91 mph in the fifth with some heavy sink/arm side run, while his curveball was dotted in the zone at 74-78 mph as it displayed 11/5 shape and hard, late break. At the plate, in game one he would collect two knocks, one of them being a solo shot that got out in left center. Holden would also rope a double into the backside gap in a later at-bat in game one. Aggressive swings at the plate, looks to do damage to the ball.
