10/14/12 - The 6-foot-2, 165-pound Martin is a high-ceiling left-hander. Coming from a 3/4 arm slot, Martin works slightly across his body and gets good arm-side run on his 84-85 mph fastball. His arm works free and easily, and as he continues to develop physically, Martin should see his velocity increase. He throws three pitches for strikes, including a sweeping 67-71 mph breaking ball and a 78 mph changeup. Nothing he throws sits still.

Comments
6/14/12 Martin is a long and projectable 6-foot-2, 165-pound left-handed pitcher who showcased command of three pitches. Operating from a lower ¾ arm slot, Martin is loose and has deception on the backside, as he fired 83-85 mph fastballs with arm-side run. Martin continued to impress with his off-speed pitches, including a 69-72 mph curveball that showed tight spin and good two-plane action, and a 76-78 mph changeup with late sink. With his body type and arm action, Martin has become one of the more coveted left-handers in the Class of 2013.
