Bechard

5/31/16 - Bechard is a strong 5-foot-11 170-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.14 60 and a 4.48 home-to-first.  He has an 88 mph exit velo, one of the top RHH velos for the event. At the plate, slightly closed stance, middle to opposite field line drives, solid consistent contact during batting practice, some hand load, aggressive swing, collected two singles in game action. On the infield, 77 mph positional velo, high three-quarters release, athletic actions, quick catch and throw, fluid footwork, momentum through the catch, accurate throws. On the mound, Bechard controlled delivery with a quick arm, over the top release, loose arm action, throws strikes with fastball and curveball, fastball at 78-81 mph, curveball has depth with 12-to-6 action, 64-66 mph, challenges hitters, works quick between pitches.

1/18/16 - Bechard is a 5-foot-11 165-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas 2018 class. Bechard was 78-80 with is fastball, one of the best fastball velos of the event, slight arm side run, loose arm action, repeatable delivery, high three quarters arm slot, smooth rhythm and tempo.  Curveball was 65-66 with late 11-to-5 shape, signs of being a good pitch as he develops. Change up at 70-72 mph, late downward movement, throws for a strike, fastball arm speed.
