Cape Cod: A speed-oriented, lefthanded-hitting outfielder for a Hyannis team that really had four legitimate center fielders vying for three outfield spots. Despite hitting just .242, Lipsey showed the willingness and ability to grind out plenty of tough at-bats, working walks and getting hit by pitches to post a .388 OBP. He stands right on top of the plate, making it hard for lefties to bust him in or land the breaking ball for a strike. He’s a gap-to-gap hitter and a good baserunner.
