Formerly ranked No. 21 in Missouri’s 2021 class. From a 3/4 slot, the right-hander jerks the ball through his release and manages to find the zone with more control than command. Bryan showed above-average arm strength, sitting 92 mph throughout his 20-pitch pen and reaching back for 93 mph with an average spin rate of just over 2,400 RPM. He landed the slider at 78-81 mph with horizontal action and a max spin rate of 2,343 RPM. Change-up was his top secondary offering on this look, consistently landing it in the zone with some life to his arm side.
Wiry bodied righty at 6-foot, 170 pounds. Stiff arm action with high back elbow. Tough to sync delivery with cross-body landing, effort and funk. Reliever look. Struggled with control. Fastball sat 87-89 (T90) mph spinning up to 2,443 rpm. Flashed good slider with hard bite at 77-78 mph, spinning around 2,250 rpm. Mixed in occasional 82-83 mph changeup spinning in the 1,700s during his ProCase appearance.
6/12/18 - Bryan is a 5-foot-10 160-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 7.82 60 and a 4.69 home to first. He has an 83 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, smooth weight shift to back side, front foot slides back to load, loose and quick bat speed, showed ability to go the other way, flashed pull power. In the outfield, high three quarters arm slot, gains momentum with feet after the catch, clean exchange, 82 mph positional velocity, some throws with carry to the bag. On the mound, Bryan comes from a high three quarters arm slot, drop and drive type delivery, increased tempo after leg lift works in line down the mound, fastball at 82-84 mph, works to both sides of the plate, late two-seam action, breaking ball at 68-71 mph, 11-to-5 action, has command of both pitches, repeats release point, throws with regular effort.
10/22/17 - Bryan is a lean 5-foot-10 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pticher in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 7.90 60 and a 5.15 home to first. He has a 76 mph exit velocity. At the plate, smooth and simple load into back side, in line stride, consistent middle of the field line drives, flashed pull side power, quick bat speed, hit a pair of double to center field in game action. In the outfield, 85 mph positional velo, loose three quarters release, throws down hill, clean transfer and throw, fluid footwork, aggressive to the ball, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Bryan has a long and lean frame, controlled delivery, in line and accelerated down the mound, throws slightly across body, loose high three quarters arm slot, fastball jumps out of hand, 77-83 mph, slight running action, slurve-type action on breaking ball, gradual bite, looks to be good pitch as he continues to develop, 69-70 mph.
2017 Junior Future Games - Right-handed pitcher, athletic frame. Simple compact delivery, short, quick arm action with high ¾ slot. Fastball, had occasional hard sink, 78-82 mph. Curveball, 11/7 shape, thrown with feel and confidence, 69-72 mph.
