Tyler Starnes: Madison Ridgeland Academy High School, Class of 2020; 5-foot-11, 165-pound athletic frame; OF. At the plate, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 87 mph. Began in athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a toe tap to start his swing. Exhibited a short swing plane, electric bat speed and a level finish. In the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 80 mph. He recorded a 60 time of 7.12 at the event.
A very projectable player with good feet, quick transfers in the outfield. At the plate has a very explosive lower half and level bat path. Can add some strength which would allow for a little more gap to gap power.
