5.20.17 - Rudrow stands at 6-2, 150lbs. He ran a 7.10 second 60-yard dash on a thick track. The outfielder/ right-handed pitcher features an upright and slightly open setup. He has a quick stride and doesn't gain much ground. He loads into his backside and launches his bat through the zone on an uphill path. Hands work freely and have some extension after contact. Can improve upon his 80mph exit velocity as he learns to use his lower half. In the outfield, he shows an efficient catch and release. His footwork and actions are average. He gets some carry on his throws at a velocity of 81mph. On the mound, he has an up-tempo delivery with some effort. His arm action is long as he releases from a straight over the top slot. He gets some hip load as he finishes square and over his front side. Fastball topped at 80mph with sink. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape at around 64-67mph. Slider has 1/7 shape with quality late movement at 67-69mph. Changeup sat at 69-72mph down in the zone.
9/25/16 Lean 6-foot-2, 150-pounder pitches out of an over-the-top slot. Repeats his delivery, which includes a square toe landing and separation behind his midline. Got downhill well with a fastball at 74-76 that was mostly straight, but had occasional comeback on the gloveside. Best pitch was a 12/6 curveball with good depth at 65-66, while he did not have a great feel for his change-up at 67-70 on this day.
Right-handed hitter who starts from an open stance and strides to square. Armbar in load creates length and stiffness in his swing. Posted 77 mph exit velocity and ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. Long wind-up to release (not surprising, given he is a primary pitcher) for accurate 76 mph arm strength from the outfield.
2/14/16 Lean 6-foot-1, 150-pound frame. Very deliberate wind-up with short arm action into an over-the-top slot. Would likely benefit from increased tempo in his delivery and pace of his routine in between pitches. Delivery takes him toward the left-handed batter's box, but nonetheless got downhill fairly well with a fastball that sat 75-76 and touched 77-mph. Best secondary pitch was a solid, mid-60s curveball with 11/5 action. A mid-60s slider will need to be tightened, as it tended to just spin on him, while he will need to work on maintaining fastball armspeed and extension on his change-up at 69-72 that tended to float up and armside.
