10/08/17 Miller initiates swing from neutral set up with short stride staying neutral. Head is still. hands are quick and direct to baseball. There is intermittent subtle hip sway following heel plant associated with front knee softness. Separation is reduced by early start of hands and limited aggressiveness in connecting back elbow. There is an excellent feel for the barrel and considerable athleticism in swing. Miller was routinely able to square baseball in bp hitting multiple line drives to pull side.
Defensively, Continues to display above average skill set seen at previous events. Miller shows soft, confident hands with overall advanced glove skills. His athleticism tranlates to considerable area quickness and associated range. Arm strength plays on left side of infield. Ball is attacked with confidence and aggression creating optimal hops and angles.
7/12/17
In the infield, the athletic shortstop plays on the balls of his feet. Fields the ball square while carrying his momentum towards the target. Funnels into his waist prior to transfer. Above average glove skills. Releases the ball from a higher 3/4 slot with above average arm strength. A right-handed hitter that starts in a taller stance. Uses a leg kick to get things going, while taking his hands back to launch. Barrel is fluid as it flows through load into launch. Bat has noticeable whip through the zone on a level path. Natural tools are above average. Projects for more pop as he fills out his projectable frame. On the mound the right-hander has an uptempo delivery that requires some effort. Leg lift is easy and he creates solid direction with his lower half. Lands slightly closed at foot strike with his momentum taking him to the first base line at finish. Arm works well through a high-3/4 slot. Fastball showed arm side run and was consistently in the zone. With his frame and arm action expect velo to increase as he matures. Showed solid feel in both his changeup and breaking ball, both being above average offerings. Change up showed depth and fade, using near fastball arm speed. Breaking ball showed signs of swing and miss, working on an 11/5 plane. Very impressive outing.

10/29/16 Athletic 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame. Currently shows gap power potential (88 mph exit velocity) and is a plus runner (6.69 60-yard dash). Right-handed hitter whose hands work fairly well and will free up even more as he irons out his lower half. Initial movement varies from a small toe-tap to a rock of weight to the back side sans front foot. Starts from an open stance and strides to a wide base with forward hip slide that limits ability to fully incorporate lower half into swing. Exhibited some feel for the barrel despite not always being on time during this round of BP. Defensively, he exhibits good footwork, a soft glove, and 82 mph arm strength, while he would benefit from working to field the baseball on the glove side of his body instead of off his right hip.
