Hardin Valley's offense was often buzzing last year as they could put up runs in bunches, and right in the middle of it was Austin King. The tall ETSU commit can really handle the stick and mash balls into the power alleys. They'll have to replace several graduating seniors, but King should continue to cruise in the middle of the order with Ty Denton.
7/21/20
6’2, 185-pound outfielder showed an intriguing all-around skill-set w/ intriguing size, bat speed and arm strength in the outfield. Tall, athletic frame w/ some well-proportioned lean strength throughout, super projectable. Chance to be very physical. Offensively, hits w/ a straight on, slightly crouched stance w/ some hand rhythm into stride to square and short hand load. Generates above average bat speed w/ some loft through the zone. Showed zero swing and miss in game w/ clean, repeatable swing, picking up a clean single. Ability to use all fields w/ authority. Chance for all fields power as frame continues to mature, ball jumps off the barrel. In the OF, moves well w/ solid footwork and easy projectable carry through target arm strength.
