Uncommitted Spotlight: 2024 Alex Rodriguez
March 4, 2022
This spring we will be highlighting players throughout the state with Uncommitted Spotlights. We will highlight one 2022, 2023, and 2024 player each week looking for a school to call home. The state of Florida is full of uncommitted players who have the talent to play at the next level. These players deserve as much exposure as they can get in order to help them find the right home.
Today, we will highlight 2024 Alex Rodriguez. Alex is a 5-foot-9, 150 pound outfielder from Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Outside of high school, Alex plays travel ball for the Original Florida Pokers 2024. We were first introduced to Alex in 2020 at the South Florida Top Prospect Games when he was an 8th grader. The tools immediately popped, and he has made big strides ever since. At the 2021 Sophomore State Games, Alex ran a 6.35 60 time and was 86 mph from the outfielder. Alex is a switch hitter with great baseball instincts. He is a talented young player that coaches should be hopping on.
