Jake Plebani Spotlight
Scouting Report
Physical: Athletic, projectable 5-foot-8, 155lb frame. 7.37 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Crouched, open stance, as the hands operate high to begin. Utilized a controlled leg-hang stride to initiate a simple, flat path into the hitting zone with some strength at impact. Fluid barrel-whip that produced a T91 mph exit velocity over the middle of the field and worked up to a 311 foot distance via Trackman. Stayed connected inside the ball for a 60% barrel rate.
Defensively: The primary catcher featured advanced actions in the crouch. Quiet receiver to both sides, as pops ranged between 1.95-2.00 with lower posture and finishing ability over the toes. High intent thrower who grabbed a 77 mph arm (H ¾).
