Physical: 5-foot-8, 131 pounds; sturdy frame. 7.63 runner in the 60. Offensively: LHH. Spread slightly open stance; slight leg kick. wide base with compact, quick through the zone; 9 degree bat angle into the zone via Blast Motion. Lilly is able to produce 6.3 G’s of force with an on-plane efficiency of 54%. Finds the barrel consistently; average Trackman exit velocity of 77 MPH; peak exit velo was 86 MPH. Defensively: Walks into ready position; attacks with his feet. Funnels through his mid section; low 3/4. INF - 80 MPH.
5-foot-7, 131-pound left-handed hitter starts from an open stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Showcased quick hands that work well through contact with a feel for the barrel. Registered a bat exit velocity of 85 mph and ran a 7.49 60-yard dash. Displayed advanced defensive abilities for a player his age playing low to the ground with active feet and solid lateral range. Played through the baseball routinely with 81 mph arm strength across the diamond.
5-foot-7, 130-pound left-handed hitter starts from an open stance and initiates his swing with a leg hang stride. A wrap in the load phase leads to some length in the swing. Showcased a solid feel for the barrel with a middle of the field approach. Registered a bat exit velocity of 75 mph and ran a 8.05 60-yard dash. Showcased active feet and fluid defensive actions while consistently playing through the baseball with developing 75 mph arm strength across the diamond. Lilly has played himself into being a intriguing follow in the 2023 class.
Initiates swing from slightly open set up with controlled stride to neutral. Separation is good in young player. Passive back elbow and arm bar lends to length. Balance, rhythm and weight shift are solid. Excellent barrel feel and athleticism are evident with consistent squaring of baseball in bp round. Lilly flashes ability to keep barrel on plane and in in zone for extended time.
Defensively, works bottom up and out front with soft, confident hands. Feet work well to and through the ball. Transfer is clean and quick and range is considerable for age.
On the mound, works out of high 3/4 arm slot showing solid hip coil, balance and rhythm. Demonstrates ability to repeat delivery with excellent incorporation of lower half. Strides open without promoting early opening allowing increased separation. FB sat 65-66 with considerable run and sink. CB at 58-59 showed 11-6 shape and at best late, short break. CH at 52-54 mph was thrown with good sell and consistent fade/sink.
