Sunday night, Major League Baseball began its 2021 Rule 4, or Amateur Draft. Only the First Round and Competitive Balance A picks were made Sunday night, a total of 36 players being selected. The draft resumed on Monday with Rounds 2-10 and then concluded on Tuesday with Rounds 11-20. While longer than last year's Covid-shortened five round draft, this year's draft is again shorter than the traditional 40 rounds.
On Monday, we put out a preview of Prep and College players from VA/DC high schools that we thought could be drafted. Here are the players who were selected this year:

While those were the players that were drafted, there will undoubtedly be a handful of other players who sign as free agents after the draft's conclusion, more so than in normal years after two straight shortened drafts. One example of this so far is Osbourn Park 2017 alum and Kyle Whitten (Virginia), who has signed with the Rays.
