Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 195-pound, strong, physical, athletic frame, put together well. A right-handed hitter, even feet, sits in a small crouch, balanced. A higher hand set, lower half is simple, small controlled stride. The swing is short to contact, a down to level path, approach more middle to pull side, had an exit velocity of 91 mph. Defensively, showed very well, smooth clean feet, gets around the baseball, glove is soft out front. Quick shuffle into transfer and throw, lower slot slings it with minimal effort, clocked at 74 mph. Starts and turns were performed correct.

Clark Beattie: SS/2B, (2025) Xavier, CT. 6-foot-2, 180-pound lean athletic frame. Solid projectable at the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 87 mph. (63.9 mph bat speed average). (19.9 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a tight compact load, then used a short small stride. Bat speed is above average, has a short simple swing plane and level good extension on his finish. Found some barrels with loud contact. Up the middle gap to gap approach. Above average advanced while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 78 mph; has a twitchy exchange, next level hands, and athletic quick feet. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a ¾ slot with a loose arm action. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.27. Shows feel for both sides of the field.

Clark Beattie: SS/RHP, (2025) Xavier, CT. 6-foot-1, 160-pound lanky athletic build. Projectable during batting practice, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 87 mph. (65.5 mph bat speed average). (21.9 mph hand speed average). Began in a wide balanced stance with a low load, then used a short stride. Has developing bat speed, flat swing plane and level finish. He produced loud contact and found some barrels. Base hit approach. Projectable athletic while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 76 mph; had a clean natural exchange, developing soft hands, and athletic developing footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Showed consistent accuracy to the base with a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.22. Projectable above average on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action while showing developing quick arm speed. Feel type pitcher who shows easy effort. Displays in line shoulders with a consistent balance point. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 77-78 mph; has control arm side around the zone and running action. (Max spin 1860; Avg 1743). Threw a sharp curveball (72-73) with glove side command and slurvey action. (Max spin 1948; Avg 1823). Has arm side control and gradual fading action on his changeup (75-76).

He started in a balanced, athletic stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. A controlled stride initiates a swing that takes a flat, simple path through the hitting zone. During his rounds, Beattie also showed off his quick bat and a gap to gap approach. On the mound, Beattie has a quick arm and a simple, direct delivery. He gets to a good position at the top, separates well and creates good direction as he heads down the mound. He lands square with an athletic finish. His fastball sits at 75-80 MPH(Max spin 2143; Avg 1919) with some late arm side running action. He also threw a good 12/6 curveball (68-69 MPH)(Max spin 2028; Avg 2017) and a fading changeup (70-72 MPH).
