Joseph Parker, SS, Purvis HS (MS)
From the Super 60 (Feb. 2, 2025): "A calming, confident presence pervades Parker on the diamond, and was once again on display in Chicago in a prospect-laden setting. Measuring 6-foot-1, 205-pounds, he posted a 6.6 60-yard dash time before comfortably putting together a quality showing on both sides of the ball. Simple rounds from the left side saw the hands work in conjunction with the lower-half, separating down and back from the ear with a minor knee-knock hang with some drift through the forward move before delivering a heavy barrel with near triple-digit exit velocities. It was a simple showing with a max distance of 375 feet as the hands maintained connection to the body with a higher two-handed finish. A similar relaxed defensive showing saw Parker move fluidly at shortstop with quality glove-to-hand ability. Presenting the look of a prospect who warrants being sent off at shortstop, his positional versatility is likely to move him around the infield in the future as the bat forces itself into lineups. There is plenty of strength in the lower-half, with more on the way for the entire frame, and there is a strong chance that he taps into more power at the plate in coming years." – Shooter Hunt
