Prep Baseball SPOTLIGHT VIDEO
Mark Susa
Stands at a long, strong, and still projectable 6-foot-4, 191-pounds. Susa possesses one of the highest ceilings in the state. He showcased a fluid delivery on the mound, getting down the hill efficiently from a 3/4 slot with an explosive finish through release. His fastball sat 87-89 mph with slight tailing action, and he complemented it with a sharp two-plane breaking ball that showed late bite at 2,223 RPMs. His changeup sat at 77-81 mph was thrown with fastball intent and offers the potential to be an out-pitch weapon. Susa is also intriguing as a position player, where he utilized a leveraged swing to hammer balls consistently for a 96.0 mph max exit velocity which was the second best mark at the event. His athleticism is further highlighted by running a 7.10 seconds 60-yard dash. He displayed soft hands and smooth footwork around the bag at first base which further cements his status as one of the most intriguing prospects in the state regardless of class.
