Super 60: May have thrown the best ‘pen of the entire day. Grulkowski continues to make loud statements on big stages across every opportunity, looking every bit of a starter physically with a clean delivery and a clean low-effort arm action to pair. The repertoire and release are truly unique as well with a number of potential swing-and-miss options on top of some expected velocity gains to come down the line.
From Shooter’s Stock Report: Super 60 (Pitching): “The Prep Baseball All-American checked all the boxes of a spring helium prospect with his performance in Chicago at the 24th annual Super 60. With what appeared to be 10 pounds of added muscle, the 6-foot-5, 235-pound right-hander displayed a true workhorse frame including tree trunk legs with room to develop even further. Hopping on the mound with a low-pulse intensity to the session, the big right-hander sat 92-94 (2481 rpm max) from an impossibly low slot while exhibiting ride and run on a fastball that will almost certainly tick up as the spring warms up. Less pinpoint than in previous looks, it provided an opportunity for scouts in attendance to hone in on the fierce tunnel-vision expectancy of success that the competitive Grulkowski carries on the mound. The delivery is clean and repeatable with quality use of that strong lower-half in gliding strong down the mound while allowing a loose, continuous arm to work with ease. His secondary offerings, both the firmer slider at 81-82 (2917 rpm max) and slightly more depth driven curveball at 77-78 (2833 rpm max), demonstrated his innate ability for spin, and promised a future wipeout pitch in the making. Still more, Grulkowski tossed in a power-changeup at 85-86 that seemed to mirror the fastball but with perhaps slightly more sink late. In total, Grulkowski continued to ride the helium of the summer and early fall, and this look provided an avenue for jumping into a near tier 1 position.”
Showed some electric stuff this morning on the mound. Striking out three through one plus innings. FB: 86-89 mph, SL: 74-77. The South Florida commit and number two ranked pitcher in the state attacks hitters with a low ¾ arm slot.
Recent South Florida commit, one of the top right-handers in the state, currently ranked No. 9 in the state’s junior class. Listed at 6-foot-5, 227-pound long levered right-hander exhibited a consistent, repeatable, and low effort arm action out of a lower ¾ slot while throwing five shutout innings with nine strikeouts against Oconomowoc on May 22. Fastball sat 87-89 MPH, topping 91 MPH with life, while also mixing in a sinker. Showed advanced feel for a sharp two-plane slider at 75-78 MPH , consistently throwing it for a first pitch strike, as well as a swing-and-miss pitch later in counts.
+ RHP/1B Tyson Grulkowski (Muskego, 2026) is one of the top uncommitted arms in the region, and his performance Sunday was one of the best on a loaded roster. His physicality immediately stands out, as a 6-foot-5, 227-pound prospect who moves very fluidly on the mound, a clean, fast arm that delivers the ball from a 5.2-foot release height on average, extending down the mound at over 7 feet. His low ¾ arm slot really complements his entire arsenal, a fastball, sinker, sweeper, and change. The fastball, 87-89 mph, spins at roughly 2,300 rpm that had late life and run. The sinker, however, really stands out given his arm slot, at 87-88 mph with 17.3 inches of arm-side movement that he landed in the zone more often. The sweeping slider, 75-77 mph, led the event in average spin rate (2,768 rpm) with 14 inches of glove-side action (0.5-inch IVB avg.). His changeup, 80-82 mph, is deceptive with arm-side fade and run too. Grulkowski is also a middle-of-the-order type of hitter, with a max exit speed of 102.0 mph and over 78.1 mph bat speed on average. It’s easy to envision another climb in velocity in the near future, which would only enhance a special profile.

RHP/3B Tyson Grulkowski (Muskego, 2026) is a 6-foot-5 two-way player with upside on both sides of the ball. On the mound, despite his lanky levers, he is an ultra-clean mover, pairing it with a loose and quick arm. His fastball was up to 86.4 mph with carry and run, showing natural feel to go in and out with it. His hard slider had sharp 11/5 tilt with tight break through the zone, at 77-78 mph and also nearly 2,700 RPMs on average. He rounded out his repertoire with a deceptive changeup in the low-80s that featured big running action, roughly 18” on average, and depth. Offensively, Grulkowski put on a show during his BP round, as he led all in attendance with a 100.8 mph max exit velocity, while also averaging 95.1 mph. Grulkowski showed quick movements with the bat with strong hands and an uphill, pull-heavy approach. It’s a whippy barrel through the zone with a narrow set-up and quiet, early toe-tap. Defensively he showed a quick first step with athletic arm action. His 87 mph throw across the diamond was among Saturday’s leaders, too.
RHP/3B Tyson Grulkowski (Muskego, 2026) may have been one of the day’s biggest winners, regardless of class. Grulkowski stands a long, wiry, and projectable 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, and his athleticism produces a well-sequenced swing that produces easy bat speed that allows him to leverage balls to all fields efficiently. Additionally, Grulkowski is an impressive defender on the infield, where his athleticism blends in well and his footwork and arm strength (84 mph max) project to develop seamlessly into a third base profile. He was just as promising from the mound, too, where he reached an 83.2 mph high, which led all freshmen, and he spins it at a high rate that raises his ceiling even higher. The spin translates to the curve and slider, which both feature high spin rates and not just for his age, and the changeup is a promising point of development to watch as well. His performance in Waukesha allowed him to burst onto the scene as an instant follow member of the state’s 2026 class.
