5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitting catcher and outfielder. He ran a 8.03 sixty at the event. The skill set behind the dish is developing, throwing 75 mph with a pop time of 2.10. The bat had an exit velocity of 84 mph. The setup at the plate was even feet with minimal movement of the feet during the swing. The path is flat to the ball and he loads the swing properly.
Matthew Aiello: C/1B, (2028) Stamford High School, CT. 5-foot-8, 145-pound athletic proportional build. Solid at the plate, Aiello was ranked 1st with an exit velocity of 78 mph. (61.2 mph bat speed average). (17.7 mph hand speed average). Began in a wide balanced stance with a compact load, then used a short stride. Bat speed was above average, displayed a short simple swing plane and level finish. He found some barrels with some loud contact. Line drive approach. While catching, throw downs to second topped out at 64 mph; has a developing transfer, firm hands, and in control feet. he had a pop time of 2.57-2.66. Some flexibility and wide setup. Showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a short arm action and a high ¾ slot. Clocked a time of 8.07 in the 60-yard dash.
