6/18/13 Physically built and athletic. 5-foot-10, 225-pounds.  Leader. Has a nose for the baseball behind the plate.  Stays back well and barrel stays in zone for a while. Flat plane  Uses strong wrists and hands to drive balls the other way.  1.96 was his best pop time. Shows solid catch and throw skill w/more in the tank.  Shifts and blocks well.

2/23/13 Showers exudes confidence and leadership behind the plate.  His mental makeup is off the charts and he is a proven winner.  Showers will never be a burner as a 7.5 runner but he makes up for his lack of speed in plenty of ways. He moves well behind the plate. His footwork is good and his throws are on the bag.  Showers at the plate is a sit and spin hitter but he has a strong lower half that allows him to generate plenty of pop. 

2/913 Showers was a Midwest Futures Games participant.  Showers continues to improve.  He lowered his pop times with accurate throws and registered them at 1.97-2.07. His footwork is athletic and quick.  Showers is physically stronger than the rest of his competitors.  He is an outstanding blocker of the baseball.  Offensively Showers continues to get faster and his pop continues to improve. He does have an uphill swing path that leads to top spin from time to time.  

8/5/12 Showers is a winner plain and simple.  He competes at a high level in three sports, baseball, football, and wrestling.  His arm is solid throwing consistent 2.00-2.01 pop times.  At the plate he uses his strong physical stature to drive the baseball.
