Physical: Thick, confident 6-foot, 215lb frame with feel to pitch and tangible strength that carries out on the bump. VCU commit.
Pitching: RHP - The righty began off the middle of the rubber upright using adequate, repeatable tempo in the delivery. Showed a comfortable stack position above the waist before separating and getting downhill from a H ¾ slot on the front-side. Blocked off the lead leg properly, whipping the arm into position and gaining some heavy action on the FB at 85-87 mph (strikes). Mixed a two plane 71-72 mph CB with swing/miss tendencies across the plate (slurvey action) and gave hitters a tougher looking 76-78 mph SL with short movement, but harder appearance. A 78-79 mph CH was commanded to arm-side and maintained a good four pitch barrage over the course of his outing, filling it up with poise.
Physical: Strong, durable 6-foot, 215lb frame with feel on the bump and even proportions.
Pitching: RHP - Tall, balanced stance with the leg lifted highly at the chest, separating on time at a H ¾ slot and delivering slightly downhill to the target. The FB ranged from 85-87 mph with command to the arm-side at T2321rpms (via Trackman). Mixed a sharp 67-69 mph CB with strikeout traits, missing barrels up to 13 inches of depth and 18 inches of HM. A shorter, harder 77-79 mph SL gave hitters a different look, holding tight, late biting shape across the dish (T2446rpms); then dropped in a developing 76-78 mph CH with some sell. Demonstrated some “power pitcher” qualities with an imposing presence.
Physical: 6-foot-0, 205-pounds. Strong, athletic build.
Pitching Delivery: Steady pace, stays over strong backside as he strides out in to a balanced, repeatable follow through.
Arm Action: Long, fluid arm action to a 3/4 release.
FB: T82, 80-82 MPH. Commands in the zone on a downhill plane.
CB: 63-65 MPH. 12-6 break with depth through the zone.
SL: 66-67 MPH. Early break.
CH: 72-73 MPH. Good hand speed with arm side fade.
A physical 6-foot-0, 205 pounds. Ran a 7.76 60 yard dash and ran a 4.59 home to first. Offensively- Stands in the box in a tall stance. Loose hands. Short stride towards the pitcher. Throws his hands into the hitting zone with a flat bat path. Gets good use of lower half. Gets full extension after the point of contact. Finishes in an upright position. Top exit velocity 83 MPH. Defensively- Displays active footwork. Smooth lateral movement. Gets in a low wide position when fielding the baseball. Has smooth funnel action. Throws from a mid ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity 71 MPH. Pitching- Displayed a repeatable delivery. And a projectable live arm. Low effort delivery. Uses a high knee lift and keeps his front side closed. Gets into a balanced back side and drives downhill. FB has late life and good command peaked at 79 MPH. CB has tight early break ranging at 66-68 MPH. Showed feel for a CH at 71-73 MPH. The 2023 graduate is a must follow.
