5-foot-11, 155-pound athletic frame. Funderburg, an Ohio University commit, is a jack of all trades on the field and it will be interesting to see how the Bobcats use him. On the mound he has a mid 80s fastball with a well above average breaking ball. Throws from multiple arm angles and has the ability to go subby. As a position player he has quick feet in the infield with adequate glove skills. Best fit looks to be at second base. A switch hitter that looks to be more advanced from the right side where he flashed a fast bat and consistently made hard contact. From the left side he is more of a contact guy, with a short compact swing. On the mound, he isn’t going to overwhelm hitters with velocity, but he throws multiple pitches disrupt timing. He sat 83-85 mph from a high ¾ slot. He also goes to a low ¾ to side arm slot with a fastball that runs at 79-81 mph. His curveball shows 11/5 break at 69-71 mph while his slider tends to stay on one plane at 71 mph. He mixes in a 75 mph changeup that shows some fade down in the zone.

Delivery shows some effort to it. Long loose back arm action. Fastball sat 81-86 mph showing some run when he drops down. Curveball sat 68-72 mph with sharp 10/4 break. Changeup sat 76 mph. A switch hitter that generates more energy and batspeed from the left side but is more efficient from the right. From the right side he uses a toe turn/bat tip for his load before taking a flat path to the ball. Was able to produce consistent line drives in batting practice with some pop off the bat. From the left side he uses a leg kick to start his lower half before a controlled stride forward. Hands stay simple before getting the bat through the zone on a level path. Struggles to produced backspin from the left side. Had a top exit velocity of 80 mph from the right side and 85 from the left. Ran a 6.94 60-yard dash. His best attribute in the infield is his impressive arm strength as he topped out at 87 mph across the diamond. Average hands at this stage. Feet move quickly but could be more efficient with his angles.

A talented two way prospect with a 5-foot-11, 155-pound build. On the mound he shows some rhythm in his delivery that requires a decent amount of effort. Lands online at foot strike and finishes square to the plate. Long back arm action into a high ¾ arm slot with quick arm speed. Also mixes in a drop down side arm delivery as well which adds to his potential deceptiveness on the mound. Fastball sat 84-86 mph from ¾ slot and 81-83 mph from the side arm slot. 5-foot-11, 155-pound with a thin, athletic frame. Showed some effort to his delivery. Aggressive and quick to the plate. Throws from a high ¾ arm slot and a low ¾ arm slot. Fastball was mostly straight from the higher slot, but showed more velocity topping at 86 mph. From the lower slot, he sat 81-83 mph. Used multiple breaking balls, but needs to maintain arm speed as he has tendency to slow down with his breaking balls. Most effective was a 68-71 mph slider from the low ¾ slot. In the infield he showed off quick footwork with the ability to field the ball out in front. Goes to both his backhand and forehand with ease and has the ability to throw from different arm angles. athletically built at 5-foot-11, 155-pounds. A two way prospect that looks to have the ability to both at the next level. A switch-hitter that has a similar approach from both sides. Starts open and uses a fluid leg kick, hands back load. Has more pop from the right side but shows more rhythm and a flatter path from the left side. Exit velocity was 84 mph from the right and 83 mph from the left. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. At shortstop he showed soft hands and athletic actions. Has the athletic ability and arm strength to stay on left side at the next level but will need to quicken up his exchange. He was 85 mph across the diamond. On the mound the righty is as versatile as they come with the ability to throw from a high-3/4 slot and drop down to sidearm without little, if any loss of velocity. From his high-3/4 slot he showed a loose, compact delivery with good direction towards home plate. He uses his extremely sharp 11/5 curveball that breaks off the table late at 66-67 mph to compliment his 80-83 mph fastball. When dropping down he was able to stay in the low 80's with heavy run to his fastball and flashed a 68-70 mph slider that broke late across the plate.
