Gilbert is a talented prospect with two-way capabilities in the ‘28 class that is a product of the Bearcats’ system. Stands in at 6-foot-2, 160-pounds that operates from the right-side with the stick. Put together a successful two rounds that had generated a peak exit velocity of 87.2 mph, and a maximum distance of 283 feet. Moved well during defensive workouts and clocked in at 83 mph from the outfield. Concluded his afternoon with a strong showing on the mound. The repertoire consists of three pitch mix, which includes: a fastball, changeup, and splitter. The heater hovers in the 78 mph range and topped out at 81.6 mph. A quality ballplayer with ample time to fill into the frame in the coming years.
