Physical: Strong, compact 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame. 7.47 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, slightly bent stance with the hands starting low on the shoulder with rhythm in the setup. Utilized a leg-lift stride in order to initiate the swing through a controlled, flat barrel path with lift after contact. Demonstrated a mostly pull-side approach with feel for hard contact on pitches thrown over the middle/inner third of the plate. Showed some sink into the lower half which was adjustable allowing the hands to match pitch-plane well. Recorded an impressive 46% line drive rate and generated a top bat exit velocity of 90 mph per Trackman Baseball. Flashed a high power ceiling with 70+ mph bat-speeds and up to 22.8 G’s of rotational acceleration according to Blast Motion.
Defensively: The primary first baseman showcased a moderately low center of gravity with active footwork on the approach. Kept the chest downhill for the most part while understanding how to move the feet to set up appropriate hops. Smooth transfers and an accurate 75 mph throwing arm across the diamond from a ¾ look.
Pitching: LHP - Started from the middle of the rubber with a traditional pace to the delivery, slight hip coil at the top of the stack and a moderately quick arm through a ¾ slot. The FB ranged from 72-74 mph appearing arm side mostly in the zone (67% zone rate). Mixed feel for a 60 mph SL getting 14.2 inches of HM on average. A 60-61 mph CH can continue getting better down the line if he kills spin (currently around 2000 RPM’s).
