6-26-2018: 5’11/185 pounds with a strong, proportional build, good slope to his shoulders and sturdy lower half. Powerful athlete that does everything with a smooth demeanor. Already physically mature so not much room left for projection. Reads the ball well in the OF; no issues making plays to his right or left during the game. Throwing motion is a little stiff and more compact than what you typically see in the OF but he gets rid of the ball quickly and makes accurate throws. Arm strength is below average and profiles best for LF. Balanced and relaxed in the batter’s box. Stays loose as he gets into his leg lift. Barrel comes through the zone with good bat speed. Ball carried well to both gaps in BP. Showed a tendency to land hard on the front foot and that disrupted the rhythm/timing of his swing. When the landing was too early it hurt his ability to square the ball up. Just missed a HR to LF during the game. Flew out to the warning track on a CB. Barrel stayed behind the ball and it carried with good backspin, no hook or turnover, which was encouraging. Production hasn’t been great so far this summer but that’s not an indication of lack of talent. Overall there’s a good mix of tools and Lee has plenty of time to refine his game. (Dan Jurik)
