+ C/UTL Grady Cheever (Germantown, 2027) was one of the biggest winners on the day. The switch hitter was all over the barrel during hitting with his smooth swing and hit rockets from both sides of the plate. His 97 max exit velocity was 10th best on the day and 3rd best amond the 2027’s in attendance. He hits with a very well balanced swing and produces easy pop from both sides of the plate. Behind the plate on defense he turned the ball around very quickly and got to a 1.97 pop time with ease and was 79 mph on his throws displaying impressive arm strength as a catcher. During infield defense, the top-rated sophomore displayed a clean arm stroke with accuracy and was 88 mph across the infield. He measured at 6-foot-1, 153 pounds and most certainly will add more size and strength to his wiry frame in the near future and his ceiling will only get higher when he does so. It was an extremely impressive look from Grady Cheever.
