INVITE ONLY EVENT
This event is by invite-only. Please choose the option below to proceed:
ABOUT THE EVENT
The Virginia/DC State Games are an extremely limited INVITE ONLY event featuring top 2027-2029 uncommitted players from VA/DC. The event will place August 4 & 5 at Glover Park's multi-field baseball complex and will illuminate up and coming players as they make their way onto the recruiting radar.
The VA/DC State Games has evolved into the largest recruiting event of the summer in the state. Over the last five years, over 350 participants have gone on to make a college commitment.
The event is limited in the number of participants. All positional players will go thru a workout with video and Analytics and play in two (2) games. Pitchers will be evaluated/videoed during live game action. Rosters will be organized/built by specific positions to maximize playing time/exposure for each player. If you want to take advantage of this opportunity, please get your registration in as soon as possible, as roster spots are limited, both by total quantity and by position.
TWO-DAY EVENT
All position players will showcase their talents in a pro-style workout in the morning of day one of the event, Tueday, August 4. Following the workout, players will branch off into teams (selected by the Prep Baseball staff) and begin gameplay. The following day, we will finish up the event with another round of games for a total of two games for position players between the two days. Lineups, pitching rotations and rosters will be constructed by Prep Baseball staff. Players who register as Pitchers Only, may attend all games, or just arrive and pitch on the day and game in which they are slotted to throw.

Players' body composition will be officially measured using state-of-the-art, medical-grade technology that will provide precise insights into height, weight, skeletal muscle mass, BMI and more. Players will step on scales using bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), a method for measuring body composition, including muscle mass, body fat, and total body water. Our scales will then produce several metrics giving insight into the prospect’s body composition. Height will be measured using a digital stadiometer to get precise height measurements. Grip Strength Hitters' grip strength will be tested using a digital hydraulic dynamometer. Grip strength is an essential component to bat strength and controlling the barrel. Hitters will be put through a max strength test on both hands, shedding light on hand strength and potential power and bat control down the road. |
