Ricardo Sanchez is listed at just 5-foot-9 but plays well above his size. At the plate he is exciting to watch as he displays an advanced approach with the ability to drive the ball gap to gap with some pop. He also shows the ability to shorten up and adjust when necessary, he utilizes a smooth swing that shoots line drives to all fields. As a defender he plays a very smooth middle infield with great footwork and a strong arm. He fields the ball well out in front of his body and makes routine plays look easy. Sanchez is effective at both shortstop and second base as he wastes no time getting rid of the ball with a quick and clean transfer. Sanchez is a very exciting prospect that is a must follow for college coaches of all all levels.
