5-foot-9, 170-pound solid frame. During batting practice, Dean had a max exit velocity of 88 mph. (62.52 mph bat speed average). (18.80 mph hand speed average). Started in a tall open stance with a quick stride. Showed nice bat speed and an uphill swing plane and a front foot finish. He barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. On the mound, showing good arm speed he used a short compact arm action with an over-the-top arm angle. Showed some effort in his delivery.
