Was in command from the beginning in his series-clinching start for Hoover in Game 2 over Bob Jones in the 1st Round of the 7A State Playoffs. Opened up in the first couple of innings throwing a running 84-85 mph fastball that climbed up to 88 mph in the 2nd inning of work. Breaking ball had sharp action at 70-71 mph with ability to throw for strikes, and also featured a 75-76 mph changeup a few times that showed the same arm side action as the fastball. Hanged three straight zero’s on the scoreboard before allowing a run in the 4th and 5th. Pulled in the 5th inning after allowing only two runs and striking out four hitters to earn the win.
