6-foot, 180-pound projectable physical frame. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.72. Began in an athletic quiet stance with a controlled load, using a toe tap approach. Bat speed was efficient, as he used a short, level swing plane and an up the middle approach. Haney had a max exit velocity of 94 mph (TrackMan). His best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 82 mph with a clean exchange and rhythmic footwork. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed with a ¾ arm angle. Up-tempo type pitcher. The fastball (77-78 mph, T79 mph) showed some late ASR as he also commanded both sides of the plate with the pitch. The 11/5 breaking ball (67-68 mph) showed tight spin and was difficult for hitters to pick up.
6-foot, 170-pound physical frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter displayed an exit velocity of 89 mph, showing his strength and power ability. Began in a balanced stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride to start his swing. Had simple swing plane, and his bat speed was efficient. Produced tons of loud contact and found lots of barrels. Line drive approach. Above average in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 81 mph. Showed consistent accuracy to the bases. Clocked a 60 time of 7.81 at the event. On the mound, showed some effort in his delivery. Threw his fastball 78-79 mph with a max of 79 mph. Curveball (64-65 mph), changeup (65-66 mph).
1.20.19- A young 2022 prospect with solid mechanics and a loose arm action from a 3/4 slot that creates movement. Really located in the zone with the FB. Was able to mix in his secondary stuff on both sides of the plate. Command was very good. Clean arm action that will continue to progress over the next few years
