Carter Nye: SS/RHP, (2024) Bentonville, AR. 6-foot-1, 170-pound solid frame. Above average at the plate, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 85 mph. Began in an open balanced stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a leg kick. Has above average bat speed, short flat swing plane and high finish. He found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Fluid in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 78 mph; has soft sure hands, smooth consistent feet, and a quick clean exchange. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Using a quick arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the bag from a high ¾ slot. Raw on the mound, showing consistent arm speed he had a high ¾ arm angle and a long arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows some effort. Showed strong balance point and uphill shoulders. Lands closed. Sat with his fastball at 77-81 mph; had command around the zone and deceiving action with straight movement. Had control low in the zone and tight action on his 11/5 curveball (67-69). His changeup (69-70) showed fading action and low in the zone command.
