Montez showed his strength at the plate with an RBI double in the 6th, driving the ball into the gap and extending the Bobcats’ lead. The physical outfielder consistently generates solid contact, though he tends to sit on his backside a bit, which can occasionally affect his timing. His swing is compact and efficient with minimal moving parts, allowing him to stay through the ball with authority. While he needs to refine his pitch recognition and make adjustments to breaking balls, his swing mechanics remain consistent, and the potential for more power is evident as he continues to develop.

Anthony Montez:
Strong, well proportioned frame at 6’0”, 170. Solid runner with a 7.08 time in the 60. Starts in a slightly wide, balanced position. Uses a compact leg kick while rocking the hands back to bring his weight back. Aggressive turn at footstrike with an upward swing path with a middle-pull approach. Strong swing with top end bat speed (79.2 bat speed) which should generate a lot of balls in the air. Has some power potential with added mass and leg strength, 91.4 Max Exit Velo. Advanced footwork in the infield for his age with solid hands as well. Arm is the most enticing defensive skill with an 85 INF Velo.
