6-foot-1 180-pounds, large build, long legs, some definition. Starts in a squared balanced base. Uses a small leg kick to transfer energy. Hands load down & deep with vertical barrel. Slots barrel as he makes his first move, accelerating onto the swing plane quickly. Good time to contact. Pull approach with 88mph exit velocity. Slower footwork in the infield letting the ball get to him. Fields the ball deep with little rhythm. Short arm action at 74mph across the diamond. Also worked out on the mound. Simple repeatable delivery. Throws from a H3/4 arm slot with short stiff arm action. Moves slow down the mound. Varied spin axis on pitches. FB sat 71-76mph. Developing feel for the offspeed.
6’1 180 pound-frame. From the left side starts with an athletic, square stance. There is little movement or load in his pre pitch movements, keeping everything simple and consistent. From the right side, he has a more oppo approach, still keeping things simple, but adding more movement and a slightly open stance. Handles the ball down well from both sides. Uses both one and two hands effectively depending on the lane he’s fielding the baseball. Arm strength was 72 across the diamond.
On the mound his fastball worked up to 74 MPH from a ¾ slot. Throws with intent. His breaking ball was a 12/6 at 53-57 MPH. Change was thrown with similar arm speed as his fastball giving it deception.
