Large 6-foot-1 180-pound build, proportional strength & athleticism. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash with head swaying side to side some. Hits from an athletic setup with a squared base. Uses a small knee turn trigger to gather more energy in the back leg. Small separation of hands and forward movement. Level swing plane. Mid/pull approach with solid contact at 86mph exit velocity. Minimal extra movement behind plate. Relax’s glove before sticking the baseball. True crouch with quick transfers on the side of the body. Down-hill tilt to shoulders as he comes up to throw, creating one hops to 2B. Pop times of 1.99-2.16 with 76mph arm strength. Solid catching prospect to follow.
Large build catcher at 6’ 175lbs, above average athlete with simple repeatable swing, relaxed approach with pop to LF, short out of the zone, turns barrel early getting around the baseball at times, athleticism stands out at position, short lively arm at 74mph, pop times should improve ranging from 2-2.2, good follow behind the plate going forward.
5-foot-11, 160-pound frame. As a hitter, shows an solid approach as hands works in a semi circle back to load. Hips leak on occasion, but does a nice job with barrel control. Physically advanced for 2022 prospect. Posted 80 mph exit velocity. Spier showed us pop times ranging from 2.18-2.26, and 73 mph velocity from the crouch. Feet and arm were somewhat out of sync on this look as we’ve seen him throw with considerably better accuracy before. Advanced reliever with loose hips and quiet hands.
