Sawyer Palevsky, a 2026 right-handed pitcher and catcher from Basha High School, impressed at the Phoenix Fall ID, particularly on the mound. During the positional and BP portions, Palevsky showcased solid mechanics and strength, but he truly stood out when pitching. With a well-rounded 4-pitch mix, he commanded the zone with consistent strikes across all offerings. His short, over-the-top arm action gave his fastball life, topping out at 86 mph despite the cold weather. His slider and curveball both displayed impressive spin rates over 2500, while his changeup added depth, surely will keep hitters off balance. Palevsky’s strong arsenal and ability to locate each pitch make him a high-potential prospect to watch this spring at Basha.
