Orioli jumped onto the scene this summer after a strong showing at the Lower Mainland Open ID in September. Coming in at a solid 6-3, 190-pound lean frame, Orioli showcased a simple line-drive approach swing by staying on the plane with an excellent lower-half transfer. Focus in the off-season on his athleticism and continued improvements to his game could have Orioli as the sleeper of 2021 as he quietly climbs the rankings board.
Orioli enjoyed a lot of success with his "don't try to do too much" approach during batting practice. Orioli started his day off with a few solid line drives to the opposite gap. He stayed with that approach throughout his rounds and saw likely the most consistent results on the day, earning accolades by PBR scouts for best swings on the day. He is a smooth left-handed bat and showed good movement in the outfield and a decent arm. He will be a fun hitter to watch this summer. Keep an eye out.
