Sophomore. Compact build, standing 5-foot-9, 180-pounds. The left-handed hitter was impressive at the plate with his athletic and clean stroke; producing a max exit velocity of 100.4 mph with an average of 93.1 mph (376’ max distance; 323’ avg. distance). Defensively, Sugi has sound actions and topped out at 86 mph from a crow-hop.
Sugi is an all-around good player. He had a quietly good season for the PBL Championship team, North Shore Twins, last summer; batting .299 in over 100 at-bats. He has some juice in his arm, sitting in the low 80s at 5’7”, which translates well to a good outfield arm from the corner spots with true backspin and ride. He has a disciplined approach at the plate as well, with more walks than strike outs last summer, and runs fairly well (right around 7.00 on his 60ft). He gets good reads and plays a good outfield. He will contribute to teams through being a solid role player, whether that be on the mound or as a position player. He has shown consistency in his game since we got our first glimpse at him in 2018 and shows that he has a good head about him on the field.

Kenneth Sugi 2020 5-foot-7 135-pound Outfielder from the North Shore Twins organization. Runs a 7.62-second 60, shows good instincts in the outfield on his routes to balls making him seem a lot quicker then he is. Sugi also shows an ability to pitch with a 3 pitch mix all down, FB 75-76 mph with late sink, a change 66-69 mph with good fastball arm action, and a slider 60-62 mph that with added strength could become a weapon for him down the road. 2018 will be a big year for Sugi and his development towards college baseball.
