Turner’s most significant improvements came in the athleticism department, looking noticeably more fit and shaving a half-second off his 60 times, which seems to have benefited him the most on the infield, as an increase in his foot speed and range at shortstop was noticeable. Some of the cleanest fielding actions on the day, with soft hands and a plus arm that plays from short or 3rd, Turner can flat out pick it. At the plate, Turner showed off his gap to gap approach with some power potential there, driving balls to all gaps on a line and doing it with a clean, compact swing that plays in the game well too. Kole looked balanced and comfortable in the box and was fast to contact. Overall, Tuner is a player who can hit in the middle of the order and lock it down on the infield too.
Pitching-wise, Turner is a true two-way player who projects as a late-inning guy out of the pen. With an up-tempo delivery and a deceptive arm slot, Turner can run it up to 90 on the gun and sat 87-89 during his pen. He has a good slider with lots of horizontal breaks and a workable changeup to keep hitters off-balance; Turner has a three-pitch mix that will play a bonus to a player who can do it at the next level all over on the diamond.
