Out staff got an updated look at 2026 graduate Austin Meinen out of the Abbotsford Cardinals program, who strung together an impressive batting practice round. Standing 6-foot-1, 210-pounds, Meinen is coming together nicely as he rolls into his senior year of high school. From the left side he starts from a loose setup, keeping his hands low while repeating his movements consistently through his swing. He's more two-handed finish, reaching a peak exit velocity of 90.6 mph and max carry distance of 279 feet. Meinen did so without much use of his lower half, so it'll be interesting to see how his swing advances over the next year. Defensively he didn't struggle at first base, as the position appears to come naturally. His footwork is good around the bag and he played hops with relative ease, maxing out at 75 mph across the diamond. One of the more underrated players at the event, Meinen is a player worth paying attention to as he matures.
