This was the best we've seen Sawatzky in a showcase setting, as the 2027 grad continues to show gains over the last year. Now checking in at 6-foot, 180-pounds, Sawatzky shows promise on the mound with a quick, clean arm. There's some effort there, living 79-81 mph (top 82) and around the zone while also showing feel for a low-70s breaking ball and a changeup he's able to throw for strikes. Not a slouch at the plate either, he took confident swings, doing a good job of putting the ball in the air with regularity. He reached a peak exit velocity of 83.7 mph and a max carry distance of 310 feet, with an average distance of nearly 200 feet. Better showing from Sawatzky, who still has time to develop as a 2027 to keep an eye on within the province.
