Ling entered the game for Dockan with a runner on base and one out in the 6th. He made quick work retiring the first 2 batters faced and eventually closed the game out in the 7th for the Broncos. The Regis commit had a three pitch mix and all of them were working for him. The FB sat 86-87 mph and touched 88 once. It had tendencies on some pitches to cut and it ended up working to his advantage more times than not. He also flashed a get-me-over SL at 75-77 mph that he could work in any count and to either side of the plate. Picked up a strikeout looking with a front door SL to a RHH in the 7th. His CB at 72-74 mph, was sharp and had 12/6 action. Induced several soft ground balls with it in his final inning of work. A true weapon out of the pen for RB’s pitching staff.
