Halouchits turned in a solid all-around performance against Patrick Henry. He finished the day 1-3 at the plate, lacing a hard-hit single through the 5-6 hole on a firm 91 mph fastball. The swing is short and compact, and he did a good job staying inside the pitch and letting his hands work. Showed comfort handling velocity and a simple approach in the box that should play for consistent contact. Defensively, Halouchits showed polish and maturity behind the plate. He’s a mobile backstop who moves well laterally and showed strong receiving ability throughout the game. He stole multiple strikes on the lower half of the zone and showed a firm glove that worked under the ball without drifting. His blocking was another standout trait; smothering balls in the dirt with ease and keeping runners from advancing. Pop times between innings ranged from 2.01–2.12 with a clean catch-and-throw exchange, quiet body, and efficient footwork. He looked in sync with his pitchers and commanded the game well from behind the plate. With his defensive skill set, ability to control the run game, and a bat that can handle good arms, Halouchits has a strong all-around profile and should transition well to the college level.
