6-foot-2, 197 pounds. Bats and throws right. At the plate has a wider stance, short leg kick, and short load back. Hand path is short to the ball and through extension. Gap to gap power. Can get off balance at times after extension, but shows very good bat speed that plays faster in the live round then the 83 mph he produced off the tee. We have had as high as 92. Showed good blocking and receiving skills. Wider setup at times receiving. Pop times off coach were 1.94 to 2.0 with accuracy. Arm velocity was 73 mph. Ran a 4.47.
10.9.16
A 6-foot-2, 195-pound right hand hitting catcher/3B who ran a 7.6 60. At the plate he hits from a slightly open stance with a short stride to come square. Good rotation on his back side and strong leg drive produced a 92 MPH exit velocity. Swing is built for good pull side power and he showed that well during the live round. Behind the plate he uses his big frame to smother balls in the dirt. He has quick feet and a transfer on throws to second base. Pop-times were 2.09-2.12 with an 83 MPH arm velocity and good accuracy to the bag.
