Second PBR event for Rodriguez, showed well. The body has some strength to it, at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, the frame has more room to fill out. He loves to catch and throw, arm strength is 69 but there is much more in there. Pop times down to second were consistently around 2.0. Needs to close up a tick more, flight will be true. At the plate hits from the right side, the base is wide, set up is good, hands just off the shoulders. The hands get back in a good launch position, the path is good, looks to pull a bit. The tee exit velocity was 80 and ran a 4.6 from home to first. This kid loves the game, is a good student as well.

5-foot-10,165-pounds right handed hitting catcher who displayed a solid all around game on Sunday. At the plate, tee exit velocity of 81 out of a high elbow setup. Wraps the bat a bit on the backside which hinders his direction to the ball. Hands work and he can get stronger. Behind the dish, he has very good receiving skills and feet. Only threw 69 from back there but it is quick and on the bag. Pop time of 1.94 in the workout. Loves to catch and worked well with the pitchers on the whole. Room to grow and strength in the bat are important developments on his end but he has game.
