Benny DeGruttola: 3B/RHP, (2025) Stamford, CT. 5-foot-10, 170-pound. (66.6 mph bat speed average). (19.0 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a quick stride. Had a simple upward swing plane, quick bat speed and good extension on his finish. Solid while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 76 mph; showed soft hands, a natural exchange, and consistent feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed a high ¾ slot and a consistent arm action. On the mound, using a loose arm action he showed consistent arm speed from a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows some effort. Had slight running action. (Max spin 1861; Avg 1748). Shows a 11/5 curveball with gradual action. (Max spin 2159; Avg 2132).

Bat speed was raw, had a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Created loud contact and found some barrels. Gap to gap approach. Smooth in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 73 mph; had soft hands, a clean exchange, and consistent footwork. Fielded the ball out front with developing movement laterally. Showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a high ¾ slot and a short arm action. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 8.13. Projectable on the mound, showed good arm speed, he had a loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed strong balance point and in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 70-73 mph; shows arm side control and sinking action. (Max spin 1998; Avg 1741). Had a 1/7 curveball (61-62) that showed slurvey action and glove side control. (Max spin 2282; Avg 2229). His 1/7 changeup (65-66) has arm side command and fading action.
