In the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 82 mph while demonstrating he had soft hands, consistent, smooth footwork, and a clean exchange. On the mound, Reed uses a long, high ¾ arm slot to produce a fastball that sits 77-80 mph (Max spin 2062; Avg 1993) with some late arm side run. His delivery has a good tempo. He uses simple movements to get into a consistent balance point and lands square with a clean finish. Reed also mixed in a nice 12/6 curveball (63-66 mph) (Max spin 1881; Avg 1827) and a late fading changeup (69-70 mph).
