5-foot-8, 150-pound, smaller, athletic frame. A fast twitch athlete, legs and feel for the game are above average. A switch hitter, worked mostly from the left side. The stance is balanced from the left side, feet are even, small leg kick, hands stay back. The hands stay inside the baseball, looking to spray it to all fields. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 88 mph, showed to have some pop to the pull gap. The swing is consistent from the right side, the bat speed is a tick lower, at 78 mph. From the right, balanced throughout, works the baseball from field to field, with more line drives. Collected 4 hits on the weekend, showing good plate discipline, didn’t swing and miss at all and showed the ability to play the short game as well. Defensively, arm was clocked at 81 mph, clean transfer, throws are on target, had an assist on a great throw to the plate in game play. The routes and angles were correct. Projects for me as a leadoff/2-hole type hitter, can play all three outfield spots, with center field being the projection. Type of player you need to see a few times to appreciate what he will bring to the team.
